LAFAYETTE — Congressional App Challenge will holding a informational for students interested in participating this year

According to a release, CGI, CajunCodeFest, and Waitr, with Congressman Clay Higgins, are coming together to bring the Congressional App Challenge for local middle and high school students.

Student will compete against their peers, creating and exhibiting software application, or "app," for mobile, tablet, or computer devices on a platform of their choice. The app can be on any topic the students select, and the submission deadline is November 1. No coding experience is necessary to compete.

There will be a kick-off/informational meeting on Tuesday, August 27 at the LITE Center Auditorium (537 Cajundome Blvd. Lafayette, LA) to learn more about the competition. Refreshments will be provided.
