Dr. Ziad Ashkar, the Dr. J. Rivet/Acadian Ambulance Endowed Chair in our college is a Co-PI on a grant submitted with 2 other colleagues to One Telemed LLC titled "OneTConnect: A Wearable Telehealth Solution for Psychiatric Patient Care.” This project will develop system design, architecture, and a functional prototype of OneTConnect - an innovative smart wearable-based telehealth solution for care providers to monitor psychiatric patients' health parameters remotely. The physiological data are collected through various sensory systems that will be embedded directly on the wearable.

Dr. Ashkar and his team have been awarded $119,930 in grant funding. Congratulations!
