CBIT & LEDA Host Data Breach Readiness Workshop
Thu, 12/07/2017 - 12:00amThis one-day intense, high-level workshop covers all aspects of preventing data breaches in a business environment, and it is suitable for security practitioners, IT staff, and managers/executives as well. We venture together into the heart of the hack, examine the breach landscape, the players, the techniques, major breaches that have happened, and how they were executed. We will pinpoint common areas of vulnerabilities and failures that facilitated those breaches. Then we'll learn how to use a “Security Framework” such as HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF, and others to minimize the chances of them happening to you. Last, we’ll do a team exercise inspired by a real-world event to pinpoint root causes and identify preventive actions you can apply.
Pizza will be provided for lunch.
