Rizk, Frederic, PhD
Frederic Rizk joined the University of Louisiana in 2019, he works in the Informatics Research Institute (IRI) as a Research Scientist. His research interests lie in the areas of machine learning and deep learning, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Architecture, Sensor-based systems, Intelligent Systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT) and their applications to solve interesting problems in life sciences. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of informatics, computer science, and engineering ranging from theory to design to implementation.
Education: Frederic completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer and Communication Engineering (CCE) at Notre Dame University with an overall GPA = 3.97/4.0 and Summa cum laude highest honor distinction and been ranked first among the fellow CCE graduates for the academic year 2017/2018. He received his MS and PhD in Computer Engineering. He was actively involved in student government and club leadership.
