Chris Kimmel

Chris focuses on cultivating relationships between UL at Lafayette, industry, local startup communities, and the workforce. He partners with industry to bring new research and projects into the university or finds opportunities to pair the university's extensive IP portfolio with industry needs. He was the Industry Liason for the former Center for Visual and Decision Informatics (CVDI), an NSF IUCRC center, where he helped maintain and grow the relationships between the universities and the member industry.
 
He is active in the local economy and workforce community and helps maintain the relationship between Opportunity Machine and UL at Lafayette. He leverages this relationship to connect Engineering, Informatics, and Computer Science students with hands-on technical projects alongside the startup founders in the Opportunity Machine program.
