Peyton Leathem-Boe
Peyton Leathem-Boe is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Research Scientist with experience in developing and deploying novel AI systems. Peyton received an undergraduate degree in Computer Science at LSU before attaining a master's degree in Computer Science at UL Lafayette. Peyton is passionate about the ethical implications of AI and educating the public on how to safely and thoughtfully engage with AI in a rapidly changing landscape. Her previous research focused on using AI to help with renewable natural resource concerns, namely mangrove conservation. Peyton's prior experience as a Software Architect at IRI ensures she has an understanding of the challenges of developing scalable, real-world software solutions, knowledge that she uses to design effective AI solutions based on user needs. As a Research Scientist, Peyton's work blends academia and industry to develop cutting-edge solutions that combine the latest research with tried-and-true industry standards to create real-world solutions.
