Congratulations to our Executive Director, Henry Chu, PhD, PE, for receiving the award for 'Outstanding Achievement in Externally Funded (1M +) Research' during the Research Recognition Ceremony hosted by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Development on March 13, 2026.

In addition to being the Executive Director of IRI, he is a distinguished Professor in the School of Computing and Informatics.

Under Dr. Chu's leadership, the IRI hosts five research centers focused on using information to address significant societal challenges, including -

- Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence at UL Lafayette
- Accessible Healthcare through AI-Augmented Decisions (AHeAD) Center
- Center for Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity
- Louisiana Center for Health Innovation | UL Lafayette
- National Incident Management Systems and Advanced Technologies
