Williams shares his journey from ITech to emergency management with students

Jim Williams, our Public-Private Partnership Officer, was invited to the monthly meeting of the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering student organization.
He discussed his career journey, which began with industrial technology and included 27 years of active duty with the Louisiana National Guard. He described how these experiences led him to a career in emergency management, where he supports and educates the business community on resilience and recovery through the Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center. Additionally, he teaches emergency management courses and responds as part of the Incident Management Assistance Teams (IMATs) for Louisiana during disasters.
Jim is always eager to share the valuable life lessons he has learned along the way.
